Team The Eptascape team has a unique composition of experience spanning scientists to professionals with experience in leading software, semiconductor and start-up companies. Our network of technical advisors and consulting engineers is prepared to undertake large and complex projects. We understand the cost drivers in a project, and we have made a number of decisions while designing our software that affect the efficiency and the overall cost of an intelligent video system. We also understand the technical challenges of building intelligent video systems and products and have a unique solution, adequate for the most demanding needs in intelligent video. Our team combines a unique set of skills for understanding distributed system architecture, from sensors and embedded systems on one end to the back-end software and servers at the other. We are committed as a team to gaining and maintaining leadership in security surveillance markets by staying focused on our customers´ business cases.
As founder and CEO of Eptascape, Marco Graziano provides the company's vision and leads the team efforts to deliver unique video analytic products to its customers. More than 20 years of industry experience have prepared Marco to create Eptascape. This training includes founding, IP surveillance Internet company MyCasa Network, Inc. and Internet appliance pioneer Teknema, Inc. in 1994, where he served as CEO until it was acquired by Ravisent Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:XEDA) (now Axeda Systems) in 1999. Previously, Marco worked as a software development manager at VLSI Technology in San Jose contributing to the company's effort in establishing the ARM architecture as a leader in the wireless and embedded marketplaces. Prior experience includes a tenure at Sun Microsystems as kernel engineer and at the Olivetti Advanced Technology Center in Cupertino and Olivetti Research in Pisa, Italy. Marco's entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit carries over his personal life. He loves motorsports, riding his mountain bike or riding on his motorcycles. Marco believes that technology for surveillance should be used in a responsible way and in full respect of civil liberties and the right of individuals to their privacy.
JAMES G. SMITH - Chief Technical Officer James Smith has over 20 years of experience developing embedded system software for consumer and computing devices. Before Eptascape, James was part of MyCasa Network and the successful Teknema, Inc. teams. Previously James has setup remote development offices for Cygnus Solutions and VLSI Technology, as well as leading operating system development for companies involved in the very early days of handheld computing equipment. James actively participates in motorsports, rallying in National and LUIS LAJOUS - VP Marketing & Sales DAVIDE TAPPEINER - VP International Sales PIERRE YVES LALIGAND - Jr. Scientist Pierre Yves is a PhD student at Stanford University with emphasis in computer vision and image processing. Pierre Yves is a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France and he was research assistant at AT&T Lab, Murray Hill, NJ. |
