ADS-100 and ADS-200 Video Content Analysis

The Eptascape ADS-100 and ADS-200 are plug-and-play, video content analyis units that perform the critical task of video content extraction and MPEG-7 metadata generation in real-time. The units are based on the Texas Instrument DM642 DSP and are purposed for performing the most demanding tasks of video analysis.

The ADS units are to be used with the Eptascape IVMS (Intelligent Video Management Software) or with the Eptascape Video Analytics Software Platform.

The Eptascape VCA ADS-100 and ADS-200 ship with embedded software pre-loaded, tested and carrying both the FCC and CE certification marks.

The ADS-100 is recommended for single video source processing and the
ADS-200 for analysis of two simultaneous video source streams. The ADS units analyze input source video and create MPEG-7 annotations in XML and to stream them over the HTTP transport protocol using TCP/IP networks. For analog video sources, the ADS units provide an additional video stream in MJPEG for each analog video source connected.

Based on proprietary software the Eptascape VCA ADS-100 and ADS-200 perform video analysis in real-time, generating meta-data annotations encoded in MPEG-7. These annotations describe visual characteristics of relevant objects, tracking them as they move through the scene.

Eptascape VCA units include plug-and-play network discovery protocol and a browser interface for easy setup that doesn’t require any software installation.
