ADS-200 Video Content Analysis Unit

ADS200The ADS-200 is a plug-and-play, video content analyis unit that perform the critical task of video content extraction and MPEG-7 metadata generation in real-time. The ADS-200 is based on the Texas Instrument DM642 DSP and is purposed for performing the most demanding tasks of video analysis. The ADS-200 VCA offer high scalability, reliability and lower cost at a guaranteed performance level.

The ADS-200 is to be used with the Eptascape EptaAnalytics Software suite. The units ship with embedded software pre-loaded, tested and carrying both the FCC and CE certification marks.

The ADS-200 unit analyzes two input video sources and creates MPEG-7 annotations in XML and to stream them over the HTTP transport protocol using TCP/IP networks. For analog video sources (NTSC and PAL), the ADS units provide an additional video stream in MJPEG for each analog video source connected.

The ADS-200 can process video streams from analog or network digital camera inputs and produce MPEG-7 compliant annotations (metadata) at a rate of 10 and 25 frames per second. The MPEG-7 annotations in XML format are encapsulated in a HTTP stream and processed by server-side software, such as the Eptascape Detection Engine for behavioral analysis and event detection.

The ADS-200 accommodates multiple video sources, NTSC or PAL analog video, or Motion-JPEG streams from a network cameras. The ADS-200 support all Axis network cameras and video servers and IP cameras from Arecont, Panasonic, Toshiba, Pixord and Sony.
